Shop with a Cop/Firefighter program receives donations

Recently, Drexel’s Chief of Police Jon Carpenter was presented with a check in the amount of $1,000 to go toward the Shop with a Cop/Firefighter Program from Harrisonville Wal-Mart. Also pictured: Store Manager David Blankenship and Ann Hammonds, Personnel Manager. In addition, Casey’s General Store of Drexel donated $150 toward the program.
Several local businesses have coffee cans in their stores for the 7th annual Shop with a Cop or Firefighter. Please donate any spare change you can to help ensure that approximately 20 local children have presents this holiday. Donations may also be made directly to Hawthorn Bank in Drexel. Kids will partner with local police officers and firefighters at Harrisonville Wal-Mart on December 12th. Each child will be given the opportunity to shop for Christmas gifts for themselves and family members.
