No more than four dogs or cats allowed in Cass County

Did you ever wonder why so many problems arise from ordinances and laws that weren’t clearly thought out and discussed with citizens? Here is an example:
"Kennel Breeding: Any building, structure or use of land where more than four dogs or four cats are kept for purposes of breeding, raising, or as pets”
This definition is in the county ordinances and applies to you. If you have more than four dogs or cats and keep them for breeding, raising or as pets, you are technically in violation of Cass County law and can be told to get rid of your pets or be fined.
Many rural residents have more than four cats in their barns and many more have numerous dogs that are used for hunting, showing as a hobby or just as pets, yet this ordinance applies to you.
You might think that this ordinance only applies to people in townships but think again. It applies to all. . .
