MoDOT’s next Cass County projects

Several paving projects will begin in rural Cass County next month. MoDOT will send out a more general news release soon, but we want you to have the details from Wednesday’s two pre-construction meetings with the contractors. We now have the detailed schedule from contractors.
Cold milling and one-inch asphalt overlay operations of 52 miles of state highways in rural Cass County will begin in late September.  Here is the list of projects to be done by Lake Asphalt Paving and Construction, LLC, and their proposed schedule, barring any weather delays:
• Route B - Route 71 to Route 7, September 29 - October 5
• Route KK - Route E to end, October 6
• Route V V - Route 7 to Route E, October 7-8
• Route E - Route V V to Route 58, October 9-10
• Route 7 - Independence St. to ?, October 12
• Route K & Spur - Route P to Route 2, October 13-16
• Route 71 - EOR        Rockhaven to 291, October 19
• Route 71 - WOR        N. Cass Pkwy to Route J, October 20-21
• Route 71 - WOR        Route J to Rockhaven Rd., October 22-23
• Route C - Route 71 to Peculiar Dr., October 24
Route YY - Route Y to Route C, October 26-29
• Striping - YY, October 30 - November 5
A pilot car with flaggers will control traffic flow in work zones.
Two significant projects in western Cass County will begin in late August or early September. Chester Bross Construction Co. will begin coldmilling and full-depth pavement reclamation of Route....
