These two young basketball enthusiasts from Drexel earned the privilege to advance to the next level of the National Hoop Shooting Free Throw Contest that was held last Saturday in Warrensburg, MO at Warrensburg Middle School. Both competed among several competitors at the regional level in early December, winning their divisions. Tayler Lancaster, a 7th grader, finished 2nd in the 12-13 year-old class with 17 free throws made out of 25. Cole Barnhart, a 5th grader, also finished 2nd in the 10-11 year-old class making 17 out of 25 shots. Although neither will advance to the state level they both are appreciative of the experience and are proud of their levels of accomplishment. The contest is sponsored solely by the Missouri Elks, Cass County Elks Lodge #2791 respectfully. Courtesy photo
