Funding work underway for signage

The September Drexel Community Betterment Corporation meeting was held during the lunch hour last Tuesday, the 29th, at the Community Center in beautiful H.T. Smith Park. A tasty lunch was catered by Ward Billings and was hosted by Drexel Pharmacy. Lunch included meatloaf, mashed potatoes & gravy, vegetables and rolls, tea, followed with pie and cookies for dessert. Those present were Tyler Black, Sue Wishon, Greg Mullinax, Patsy Stewart, Patti Dreher, Joe Ziegler, Anita Brown, Ward Billings, Craig Arnold, Jackie Schlagle and guest.
The invocation was provided by Tyler Black, followed by the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance to start the meeting. The meeting was gaveled into order.
The Treasurer, Greg Mullinax, reported that DCBC has an ordinary balance of $1606.94 in general checking and the Drexel Dollar Account balance is $375.
Craig Arnold, Executive Director of the Cass County Development Corporation (CCDC), gave an update on the two new EEZ zones, an upcoming trip to Crowder College and the open house held by the new Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville.
