Forming a park board discussed at DCBC meeting

The Drexel Community Betterment Corporation, better known as D.C.B.C., met for their regular monthly meeting immediately following the noon whistle on Tuesday, July 29th, 2008 at the Drexel Community Center.
A delicious lunch, catered by Ward Billings of Old Aubry’s Cafe, was hosted by Marc Finke and the Drexel Pharmacy. On the menu: smoked roast beef, corn on the cob, coleslaw, scalloped potatoes, and Texas toast. Those present were: Mike Fisher, Anita Brown, Jim Welborn, Lynette Harris, Patty Dreher, Barb Shipley, Sue Bush-Wishon, Tyler Black, Greg Mullinax, Jane Klaiber, Debbie Gilbert, Peggy Moles, and guests Danny Powell, Charla Moore, Bill Harris, Kara Smith, Dave Alburty, and Jack King.
The invocation was provided by guest Bill Harris, who then invited all to attend the Saturday night country music shows and RV park at the Rutlader Outpost. Middle Creek Theatre is located east of the 335th Street exit off 69 Hwy, only 3 miles into Kansas. Old Aubry BBQ catering is available there. Harris shared that 300 or so attend the shows each week.
