East Lynne Police lose state funding

Gov. Jay Nixon has directed that 12 Missouri law enforcement agencies that did not comply with the reporting requirements of the state’s law on traffic stop reporting be ineligible to receive state funding. The agencies were listed as being non-compliant in the annual Missouri Vehicle Stop report issued June 1 by Attorney General Chris Koster.
Per the Governor’s directive, the Missouri Department of Public Safety has notified 11 local police departments and one county sheriff’s department that they are ineligible for the funding. Those agencies are the Bland Police Department, the Canalou Police Department, the East Lynne Police Department, the Howardville Police Department, the Iron Mountain Lake Police Department, the Lilbourn Police Department, the Mayview Police Department, the Olympian Village Police Department, the Ralls County Sheriff’s Department, the Rockaway Beach Police Department, the Shelbina Police Department, and....
