Drexel School Board discusses cuts of transportation routes
The Drexel R-IV School Board held their regular monthly meeting on July 21, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library Media Center.
Larry Edmonds presented drawings of the proposed design for the John Gratton Memorial. The design currently consists of a nine foot diameter memorial with one foot letters spelling out “Gratton Field”. Inside will be a five foot diameter of black granite for an inscription and picture. At the head of the memorial will be a lighted flag. The committee consisting of Edmonds, Randy Hocker, Steve Mills, Judy Daniel, Dennis Bolton, and Judy Stivers, are accepting donations to pay for the tribute to the founder of Drexel football. October 17th has been set for the dedication.
At this time, Judy Daniel presented the annual Library Media Center Report comparing this year to last year. The community volunteers are a tremendous help, she stated, and Greg Musick and Dennis Deel have been repairing some of the library chairs, which is very much appreciated.
