Drexel FFA attends conference

Twelve members of the Drexel FFA Chapter traveled to Warrensburg September 17th to attend the Area VII FFA Leadership Training Conference and Chapter Degree Ceremonies. The evening began with the official FFA opening ceremonies then the officers met with other officers from the 20 schools in Area VII to receive officer training conducted by the Area VII FFA Officer team. The remaining members in attendance met with Nessie Early, National FFA Secretary from California for leadership activities. Following the training, twelve members received their Chapter FFA Degree. To receive the degree, members must have completed fifteen minutes of public speaking, earned or actively invested $150.00 in their supervised agricultural experience program and demonstrate active knowledge of parliamentary procedure. The Drexel FFA also received the distinct privilege of hosting National FFA Secretary Nessie Early and Missouri State FFA President Samantha Warner Friday morning following the conference.
