Drexel’s Board of Aldermen approve building permit refunds
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Drexel, Missouri met in regular session on August 11, 2008. Mayor Reece called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at city hall.
Citizens present were Stacy Rice, Sheila Reece, Boyd Smith, Janice South, and Raymond Fink.
City staff present were: police officer Charles Steele, Water Technician Russ Ream, City Treasurer Peggy Moles, City Clerk Kara Smith, and City Administrator Michael Fisher.
Shortly after calling the meeting to order, Mayor Reece announced that Police Chief Jon Carpenter had gotten married last week and that in his absence Officer Charles Steele had done a great job as acting Police Chief for the week.
Mayor Kenneth Reece, Alderman Sue Bush-Wishon, Alderman Terry Mayfield, Alderman Gale Allman, and Mayor Pro Tem Doug Musick were all in attendance.
City Administrator Michael Fisher asked that the agenda be amended to add an executive session for a Real Estate Proposal (610.021 (2)). It was clarified by the Board that they will discuss and review the real estate proposal, but take no action on it at this time as it was not officially listed in the agenda. Alderman Sue Bush-Wishon moved to approve the agenda as amended. Motion was seconded by Allman and approved by a 4-0 vote.
Mayor Reece asked if there was a motion to approve the consent agenda. Allman asked that the minutes from July 14, 2008 be amended to. . .
