DCBC plans for 2nd Annual Halloween Fun and Safety Night

Leaves have finally ripened into shades of burnt umber and brilliant yellows, and soon, very soon they will be filling the whistling winds as fly-aways. Squirrels are hoarding walnuts, cooler nights have blanketed the area, harvest moons, and no other plant says “fall” like chrysanthemum flowers. They are blooming everywhere. The Drexel Community Betterment Corporation is proud to sponsor their 2nd Annual Halloween Fun and Safety Night in Drexel on Friday, October 31st from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Kicking off the event, children of all ages (and their parents or guardians) are welcome to dress in costume and walk in a parade. Anyone who wishes to participate should plan to meet in front of the Drexel School at 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of 4th and Main. The parade route, escorted by Drexel Police, will move west up Main Street to 2nd Street where they will be handed a glow stick necklace and a treat by members of DCBC.
During the event, parking on Main Street between 1st and 4th will be prohibited, ensuring the safety of all parade walkers and trick-or-treaters.
From 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., costumed merchants throughout town will be set-up in the business district...
