DCBC keeps their fingers crossed

The Drexel Community Betterment Corporation met last Tuesday, April 28th, for their regular monthly meeting. The noon whistle started the meeting with a tasty lunch catered at the Community Center, hosted by AlburtyLab/InnovaPrep. Those present were: Tyler Black, Sue Bush, Carol Pranulis, Craig Arnold, Vic Shipley, Patsy Stewart, Marc Finke, Anita Brown, Jim Welborn, Ken Reece, Patty Dreher, Ward Billings, April Rollins, Jennifer Duncan and AlburtyLab/InnovaPrep staff guests, Pam Murowchick, JoAnn Cawby, Alec Adolphson and Andy Page.
The invocation was provided by Mullinax and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited to start the meeting. The meeting was then gaveled into order.
Treasurer Mullinax reported that DCBC has a balance of $1,425.36 in general checking. A check has since been written to Jackie Russell for $30 for decorations. Mullinax then welcomed April Rollins of Rollins Photography as a new dues paying member. Brown from Hawthorn Bank reported that Drexel Dollars are always available at the bank.
Craig Arnold, Executive Director of Cass County Development Corporation (CCDC), is proposing two new EEZs in the county. They will be large; one could employ 1,200 employees with an average wage of $80K in 3-5 years.
