DCBC elects new officers

Lunch was catered at the Community Center by Old Aubry BBQ, hosted by Hawthorn Bank for the October 28th DCBC meeting. Present were: Sue Bush, Tyler Black, Greg Mullinax, Dave Alburty, Marilyn Niemeyer, Joe Ziegler, Anita Brown, Craig Arnold, Lynette Harris, Barbie Shipley, Vic Shipley, Herbie Thomas, Bob Miller, Jim Welborn, Carol Pranulis, Peggy Moles, Kara Smith, and Patty Dreher.
The invocation was provided by Pastor Marilyn Niemeyer, and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited to start the meeting.
Treasurer Greg Mullinax reported that DCBC is up $66 after expenses this month, for a balance of $2,044.38. There is also $75 in the separate Drexel Dollars account.
Cass County Development Corporation Director, Craig Arnold, spoke on his attendance to a re-use conference in Atlanta. Re-use was discussed from a developer’s perspective. The developers were excited to hear about the Economic Enhancement Zone and how they could use it to help bring business and jobs to Drexel.
