Council tables discussion on water rates; fails to approve church group meets at Community Center

The Board of Aldermen of the City of Drexel, Missouri met in Regular Session on Monday, August 9th. Mayor Reece called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at City Hall. Citizens present were Boyd Smith, Janice South, and Jennifer Thomas. Presenters present were Chad Harrington of the Larkin Group, Muddy Waters of HD Supply, and Cary McDougal of Baron & Budd. City Staff present were Water Technician Russ Ream, Police Chief Jon Carpenter, and City Clerk Kara Smith. Mayor Kenneth Reece, Alderman Terry Mayfield, Alderman Doug Musick and Alderman Bob Thomas were in attendance. Alderman Kevin Shannon was absent.
Mayor Reece asked that although executive session was already on the agenda for personnel matters the agenda be amended to include an emergency executive session for legal matters. With no objections, Alderman Thomas made a motion to approve the amended agenda, seconded by Alderman Musick. The agenda was....
