Council hears about field plans
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Drexel, Missouri met in Regular Session on Monday, October 13, 2008 at City Hall. Mayor Kenneth Reece, Alderman Sue Bush-Wishon, Alderman Terry Mayfield, Alderman Gale Allman, and Mayor Pro Tem Doug Musick were all in attendance. Mayor Reece called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Citizens present were Jon Ament, Tyler Black, Dan Cook, Kay Edmonds, Larry Edmonds, Judy Houseman, Marcella Johnston, Joe Madrid, Rose Marsh, Louise Musick, Myron Musick, Ruth Osborn, Sheila Reece, Stacy Rice, Kevin Shannon, Caroline Showalter, Boyd Smith, Janice South, Judy Stivers, Carol Welborn, and Jim Welborn.
City Staff present were Chief of Police Jon Carpenter, Water Technician Russ Ream, City Treasurer Peggy Moles, City Clerk Kara Smith, and City Administrator Michael Fisher.
Mayor Reece asked that the agenda be amended to include a presentation by Dr. Judy Stivers, superintendent of the Drexel School, as well as a presentation by Jon Ament regarding city employees’ health insurance coverage. Alderman Allman made a motion to approve the agenda as amended. Motion was seconded by Alderman Wishon and was approved by a 4-0 vote.
