Council approves many building permits

Council discusses ball park lights and hears of new VFW building plans at monthly meeting.
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Drexel, Missouri met in Regular Session on Monday, September 14, 2009. Mayor Reece called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at City Hall.
Citizens present were Bob Lotspeich, Representative Scott Largent, and Janice South. Presenter present was Charlie Clifton. City Staff present were Water Technician Russ Ream, Police Chief Jon Carpenter and City Clerk Kara Smith. Mayor Kenneth Reece, Alderwoman Sue Wishon, Alderman Terry Mayfield and Alderman Kevin Shannon were all in attendance. Mayor Pro-Tem Doug Musick was absent.
Mayor Reece asked for the agenda to be amended to include four additional building permits. Alderwoman Wishon asked to move Old Business ahead of the building permits which needed approval. Alderman Mayfield made a motion to approve the agenda as amended. The motion was seconded by Alderwoman Wishon and was approved by a 3-0 vote of the council....
