City approves contracts for water project
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Drexel, Missouri met in Special Session on Tuesday, December 1, 2009. Mayor Reece called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. The meeting was held at City Hall.
There were no citizens present.
There were no presenters present.
Mayor Kenneth Reece, Alderman Mayfield, Mayor Pro-Tem Doug Musick and Alderman Kevin Shannon were all in attendance. Alderwoman Bush-Wishon was absent. City Staff present were Police Chief Jon Carpenter, City Treasurer Peggy Moles and City Clerk Kara Smith.
Mayor Reece asked for approval of the agenda. Alderman Musick made a motion to approve the agenda. The motion was seconded by Alderman Mayfield and was approved by a 3-0 vote of the council.
The Board of Alderman discussed the building permit request of Monte Sink, 318 E. Pine, for a 12’ x 24’ addition on the back of the existing garage, roof line will blend with existing roof and new metal roof to cover all. After review of the application, the Council questioned the setback requirements for the property. The Board asked that City Clerk Kara Smith contact Sink and request a plat map drawing of the boundaries of the lot for review at their next scheduled meeting. It was agreed to table this decision until that time.
Next, under Water System Improvement Contracts, Alderman Shannon gave the first reading of Bill 562. Alderman Musick made a motion to approve, which was seconded by Alderman Mayfield and approved with a 3-0 vote of the Board.
