BERRIES & BLOSSOMS  will meet Sunday, August 22 at the Nazarene Church at 4:00 p.m.  All ladies in the Drexel area are invited to join us for a time of fellowship, devotion and refreshments.  The theme for the 2010-11 year is “The Joy of the Lord is Your Strength!”  Call Virginia Alley 657-3346 if you have questions.

Free Back-to-School Pool Party, Friday, August 20, 7-9 p.m., Drexel Pool. Kids, parents, teens are all welcome. Free lemonade and popcorn. Sponsored by Drexel PTO.

The Drexel Lions Club meets at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at the Drexel Community Center in H.T. Smith Park. Anyone who thinks they might be interested in joining should come to a meeting and check it out. The meeting takes place after we eat at 7:00 p.m. 

The Drexel Star is looking for a copy of the Drexel Centennial History Book. We seem to have never had our own copy. If you have a spare copy please call the office at 657-2222. Thank you.

The February meeting of the Interdenominational Ladies group, Berries and Blossoms will be held on Sunday, February 28 at 4 p.m. at the  Nazarene Church.  The theme for the meeting is “Great is Thy Faithfulness.” Katie Boffman will bring the devotions on  Storms of Life. Light refreshments will be served.  All women of the Drexel area are invited to join the group for fellowship.  The Berries and Blossoms Steering Committee has announced a Ladies Retreat planned for the weekend of April 9-10. Details will follow later.
