Mills and Austin awarded Kirsch Scholarships

Denise Mills and Krishawn Austin were each recently awarded a $2,500 scholarship from Cass Regional Medical Center Foundation as part of the Dr. Harold E. Kirsch Memorial Scholarship program.

Mills has been employed by Cass Regional since 2007 and works as an LPN at Harrisonville Medical Clinic. Austin has has been employed by Cass Regional since 2013 and works as a surgical technician in the Surgery Department. She is working towards an Associate of Science degree in nursing through National American University.

Kendra Larcom awarded Geraldine Kidd scholarship

Kendra Larcom has been chosen as the recipient of the Geraldine Kidd Scholarship from Cass Regional Medical Center Foundation. Larcom has been employed by Cass Regional Medical Center since October of 2009 and works as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department. She is currently attending the University of Central Missouri (UCM) to obtain her Bachelor of Science in nursing degree. The award amount is $1,000, which will be paid directly to UCM.

Cass Regional Medical Center installs new equipment

Cass Regional Medical Center recently installed two hyberbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) chambers in The Wound Center at Rock Haven Specialty Clinic win Harrisonville.

HBOT quickly delivers high concentrations of 100% oxygen to the bloodstream, which assists in the healing process of wounds and is effective in fighting certain types of infections. It also helps to stimulate the growth of new blood vessels, which can improve circulation and wound healing.

Antley to be inducted into Honor Society

Dayton Antley, son of Skipper and Denise Antley and a 2012 Drexel R-IV graduate is being inducted into the Tri Beta National Honors Society. Avila University’s local chapter, Pi lota, will hold its annual induction ceremony on Wednesday, February 19th.

Antley was also named to Avila University Fall Dean’s List due to his 4.0 grade point average.

Bolton named to Dean’s List

Craig Bolton, of Drexel, Missouri, was named to Baker University’s College of Arts and Sciences and School of Education undergraduate dean’s list for maintaining a 3.5 grade-point average or higher and at least 12 credit hours for the Fall 2013 semester. 

C.J. is a 2013 graduate of Drexel High School and the son of Dennis and Pam Bolton.
