The Harrisonville Wal-Mart Store supports community activities in a variety of area schools and communities across the area. Drexel R-IV Schools and the City of Drexel are one of the recent recipients of grant funding provided by the Wal-Mart Corporation and the Harrisonville Wal-Mart store in particular. Pictured above, Store Manager’s Ann Hammonds and Ken Reynolds, center, present a $1,000 donation to, left to right, Katie Hocker, Mallari Russell, Alec Young, Jarrod Jacobs for the Drexel Ballpark renovation project.
The Drexel Bobcats and the City of Drexel’s ballpark renovation project is well underway and the most recent $l,000 donation by the Harrisonville Wal-Mart Store is the reason why. Private and community sponsorships such as this will enable this worthwhile project to continue without delay despite the economic downturn. Providing safe, fun learning opportunities for young people is a focus of all three of these organizations, Wal-Mart, Drexel Schools, and the City of Drexel. The school and city administration both offer their sincere thanks for this donation and the support provided by the Harrisonville Wal-Mart. Courtesy photo
