Water Improvement Project well underway

The water system improvement project is now well underway. The project consists of five separate contracts, which began in February of 2010: one, for the transmission main, one for the tower, two for distribution lines, and one for operating equipment.

The Drexel Community Betterment Corporation met last Tuesday, April 27, at 5:30 p.m., for the regular monthly meeting.
Snacks for the meeting were sponsored and prepared by Jim and Carol Welborn and Welborn’s Thriftway. Those present were Sue Bush-Wishon, Patty Dreher, Marc Finke, Rob Swearingen, Lila Jones, Mark and Virginia Alley, Jim and Carol Welborn, Stacy Rice, Doc and Rose Marsh, Carol Pranulis, Herby Thomas, Lynette Harris, Aubry Deal, Gene and Dixie Allen, and Dave Alburty.

Well folks, another prom season has come and gone. With the year flying by, the junior class somehow found
the time to decorate beautifully
for a wonderful night at Deer Creek - where our Junior/Senior prom was held. With the theme “Take my Breath Away,” and decorations the color of pretty pink, it was no wonder guests at the Promenade had trouble
catching their breath.

Aldermen approve many building permits

The Board of Aldermen of the City of Drexel, Missouri met in Regular Session on Monday, April 12th, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.

Drexel sets to update information records on residents

The City of Drexel Public Works Department is currently updating their customer records. They are asking that all water and sewer customers take a few minutes to fill out the form that was recently sent to all residents.
The completed forms may then be dropped off at City Hall during regular business hours, left in the drop box on the east side of the building, or mailed to P.O. Box 710, Drexel, MO 64742.
