All Star opportunity for area coaches and senior players
Area coaches and senior basketball players that were selected for The South Teams at The Lions District 26-M5 All-Star Basketball Games recently gathered at the Georgia Robertson Burns Complex on the Missouri Valley College Campus in Marshall, Missouri. Man with local ties dies in plane crash

El Dorado Springs Postmaster William Michael (Mike) Fritts, 39, along with his wife, Pam, and their daughter, Jenna, had flown in their 1956 model Beech G35 single engine aircraft to a valley near Marble, about 125 miles west of Denver, CO, to vacation. Mike was going to be off work for some period of time while he recovered from recent shoulder surgery.

Christopher and Rhianna Thomas of Kansas City are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Melva Rose.
The young lady was born May 6, 2010 at North Kansas City Hospital. Melva Rose weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20 inches long. She has a 2 year old brother, Walden Christopher, to welcome her home. Proud Grandparents are Pat and Trudy Thomas of Harrisonville, MO and Lynn Hatfield of Coco, FL.

Dean, Lewis to marry
John and Alleene Dean of Drexel, Missouri are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Philip Dean, to Kelsey Lewis, daughter of Charles and Carol Lewis of Amsterdam, Missouri.
Philip is a 2003 graduate of Drexel High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Central Missouri with a degree in Art Education. Philip is employed as a teacher and football coach at Miami High School.
