Drexel R-IV’s second quarter featured artist is senior Layne Irvin. “I wanted to make a realistic, photograph-like, black and white drawing,” Irvin said. “I have been primarily working on drawing people this year. I really tried to capture the expression and realism of Brian Wilson,” he added.

The Drexel Bobcats hosted three teams last week. They began the week with a huge 71-20 victory over Hume on Tuesday. Head Coach Dennis Bolton commented, “It was good to be able to get back on the floor after such a long lay off. The boys did a good job of finishing on the offensive end and also limiting Hume to only one shot.”

Our game on January 7 against Hume was our first game since December 13, so for the most part we were very pleased with our performance. All 11 girls got to see quite a bit of game action so that was good. We ended the night with a huge 71-11 victory.
Our matchup with Lakeland Thursday night was exciting for us because we were playing an opponent that we really knew nothing about. All of our 11 girls got to play some valuable varsity minutes which will come in handy down the road. We came out on top of Lakeland by the score of 27-14.
