Jessica and Shawn Fletcher of Drexel, Missouri are the proud parents of a daughter, born December 29, 2008. The baby has been given the name Sophie Michelle Fletcher. She was born at 11:49 a.m. at St. Luke’s South in Overland Park, Kansas. She weighed 6 ounces, and was 17 inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Cheryl Kraft and Scott Walker of Missouri. Paternal grandparents are Mike and Mary Fletcher of Drexel. Paternal great grandparents are Clara Gibbs of Grandview, Missouri and Mary and Kenneth Lesley of Warrensburg, Missouri.

Jeffrey Schuster and Amanda Romi of Harrisonville, Missouri announce the birth of their daughter, Abbigail Joleen Schuster, on January 30, 2009 at 4:45 p.m. at St. Luke’s South in Overland Park, Kansas. She weighed 7 pounds 1 ounce and was 18 inches long.

Let’s talk swimming pool.
My stand on the swimming pool is that it is one of our most important assets the city owns! It is long been providing this community with a multitude of benefits. Besides being a wonderful and safe place to hang during hot days, it keeps our kids under supervision and out of mischief, besides the medical advantage of wearing off some of that energy.

Emily Herrell of Drexel, Missouri and Brandon Theiss are proud to announce their engagement to wed.
Herrell is the daughter of Floyd “Butch” Herrell Jr. and the late Patricia “Tish” Herrell of Drexel, Missouri. Theiss is the son of Theresa Stuteville of Stillwell, Kansas and Terry and Marilyn Theiss of Piper, Kansas.
The couple are planning a May 30, 2009 wedding at 3:00 p.m. at the Drexel United Methodist Church in Drexel.
They plan to make their home in Drexel.
