Lady Cats finish fourth

Our Lady Cats came out strong in the opening quarter of the battle for 3rd place in the pre-season conference tournament by outscoring the Whirlwinds 12 to 9. They outscored the Whirlwinds again in the 3rd quarter by 7 to 6 but their downfall came in the 2nd and 4th quarters when they were outscored by 5 in the 2nd and 4 in the final quarter. This gave Archie the victory 38 to 43. Free throw shooting was 37% as a team making 5 of 13 attempts. Chelle McAnany led the team in scoring with 16 while making two of two from the line. Marah Shipley had a good first half scoring 10 points and was 50% from the line hitting 2 of 4 but did not score in the second half. Mallari Russell scored 8 points with one 3, 2 two pointers and 1 for 2 from the line. Jessi Gunnels and Jacoby Hotsenpiller rounded out the scoring with 2 points each.
