Lady Cats come home with a loss against Lady Winds

After our Lady Cats mauled the Lady Eagles from Miami last Monday night, the Sherwood game score was similar, only the wrong winner this time.
The Lady Marksmen were true to their name as they were hitting the mark both in batting and pitching last Wednesday evening at our hometown park.
The Lady Bobcats could not get going either at bat or in the field. The Sherwood Ladies held the Lady Cats to only 3 base hits and 2 runs while scoring 17 of their own. Our pitching and fielding were both a little ragged with 15 walks handed out and 7 errors being committed.
Marissa Bauer, Chelsea Bauer and Brittany Page were the only batters to reach with base hits and they had one each. Katie Hocker and Jessi Gunnels each hit long fly balls in the 4th inning only to have them caught by the Sherwood center fielder. Taylor Swezey and Brittany Page scored the only two runs of the game.
On Thursday, the Lady Cats traveled east to Archie for a match-up with the Lady Whirlwinds.
