Lady Bobcats run over Lady Vikings

Highlights of this game begin with a blocked shot and retrieval of the ball by Gunnels and on the offensive end of the floor Freeman goes to the line making one of 2. Kendrick makes one from 14 feet and later passes to Freeman for 2 more. Hocker intercepts a Lady Viking pass and is immediately fouled. At the 3:56 mark of the first Drexel 5, Midway 0.
Freeman steals the ball and converts her layup, Freeman and Kaufman trap a Lady Viking and steal the ball as Freeman makes another 2. Gunnels makes a 6 footer while the Lady Bobcat’s press is causing numerous turnovers. Vlieger goes to the line two different times making one of three shots. Williams goes the length of the floor for 2 and the score after one is Lady Cats 14 and Lady Vikings 2.
In the second period, Kaufman makes a steal at mid-court and converts on her drive to the basket. Hocker forces the Lady Vikings into another turnover and later gets an assist to Gunnels for a turnaround jumper. Freeman makes a free throw and also a 2 from 10 feet and gets an assist to Vlieger for 2 more. The Lady Cat defense continues to cause Lady Viking turnovers and Gunnels ends the scoring for the Lady Cats in the first half with a turn around jumper and a nice lead of 25 to 7 at the half.
At half time our talented Dance Team/Cheerleaders gave another nice performance. These girls deserve our support as they work many hard hours to accomplish their different routines both in cheerleading and dancing.
In the third, it’s Freeman to Hocker for 2 and the defense comes up with another turnover forcing the 5 second call against the Lady Vikings. Another Midway turnover and Freeman hits from 14 feet. Gunnels with a put back and then a steal and pass to Freeman for....
