Golf association wraps up with successful year

The Drexel Area Golf Association has had a successful and busy year. The City of Drexel, using the Parks and Recreation money, purchased a new mower for the exclusive use on the golf course.
They have signed a lease with the City of Drexel for a period of five years. This means that the golf association is responsible for all maintenance of the golf course. Also any activity on the course must be approved by the Association’s Board of Directors.
They have built three more tees on the golf course. These are level and elevated mounds of earth to allow for a better shot on the hole in play. These tees are approximately 15 feet by 40 feet and a good stand of grass has been planted on them.
They have made the first annual payment to the bank to pay for the new shelter house. This was done mainly by sponsors of the tee markers and on the new score cards.
