Fans show spirit for young Bobcats

Our Bobcat boys, being seeded 8th, unfortunately drew the number one seeded Archie Whirlwinds for their first game of the Archie Tournament played during the week of January 26-31. The game was never in doubt as Archie took a 23-9 lead in the first quarter never looking back while handing our Bobcats a 76 to 28 loss and sending them into the Consolation Bracket. Team statistics were field goal percentage 42%, free throws 50%, with 6 assists, 20 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots. The 38 turnovers were a factor in the lopsided score.
Team leaders were: Moles 9 points and 3 rebounds; Roberts 8 points, 1 steal and 7 rebounds; Seba contributed 4 points, 2 assists and 5 rebounds. Hadley, Raffety and Bartholomew also scored and had 1 rebound each. Wheeler pulled down 2 rebounds.
Coach Bolton comments, “The boys continued to scrap and play hard until the final buzzer, showing they are working at getting better. The experience they are gaining this year will help them in the future.”
