Drexel Lady Cats fall to Lady Winds

On Tuesday, February 23rd, the Lady Whirlwinds of Archie hosted the Lady Bobcats. There was no scoring in this very slow starting game until Archie goes to the line for their 4th free throw attempt being successful in 2 of the 4 at the 5:24 mark of the first quarter. Finally Drexel gets on the board when Kendrick gets a put back. Good defense by the Lady Cats holds the Lady Winds to only one field goal in the first quarter, but the shooting was not good for Drexel as they also make only one field goal in 6 tries and find themselves trailing 4-2 after one.
Kendrick gets her second score with a turn around shot form 8 feet. The second quarter scoring for the Lady Cats continued to be a struggle as they scored 2 of 4 from the line and one field goal each by Hocker and Freeman to go with Kendrick’s 2 points. Archie scores easy lay ups and take an 8 point lead at the half.
The second half is much the same as the Lady Cats continue to hold the Lady Winds’ scoring down...
