Drexel Cross Country competes at State

By TESA DEEL
The Drexel Cross Country runners had the opportunity to travel to Jefferson City to compete in the State Cross Country Meet. Drexel had 5 runners qualify for the State Meet. Two of those runners placed in the top 25 and received medals. Chase Reynolds and Jacklynn Williams, both Seniors, received medals for Drexel.
Coach Adrianne Lane commented, "I thought the kids did very well, Jacklynn and Chase were very strong and I felt they both ran to the best of their abilities. Jacob ran very well, he did not receive a medal, but I thought he was strong. He improved his time from last year by 1:07. Jacklynn ran 1 min. 2 seconds faster and Chase ran 1 min. 40 seconds better than last year."
