Drexel Booster Club members approve purchase of new volleyball net system

The Drexel Booster Club met Wednesday February 3rd, 2010 in the school library.  Present were: Joyce Sanders, President, Pam Bolton, Treasurer, Lorrie Wilson, Robyn Seba, Lacey Gunnels, Doretta Moles, Jennifer Thomas, Dennis Bolton, Jane Williams, Dr. Judy Stivers, and Jennete West.
Birthday Calendars:  Birthday calendars are in and ready for pick up and also available for purchase. There were 125 calendars ordered with 87  pre-ordered so there are still some available for purchase. In the previous meeting it had been discussed about different options into producing the calendars so that they are received in a more timely manner.  Jennifer had further researched the company we are currently using and found that the Booster Club pays $2.76 per calendar then selling them for $5.00. It was recommended to Jennifer to look into the option to possibly sell the calendars for $8.00 in the future, no decision was made. It was stated that if the Booster Club does not utilize this company in the future and would opt to go back to them providing the service then our costs would increase, we are currently grandfathered in with our price due to having had service with them for 17 years. Jennifer will look to get started on the calendars in July and start from the beginning with all the birthday information.
Mission Statements:  There were mission statements received by members, but a decision has not been made. 
Athletic Bears:  Pam stated that the minimum order had to be 24 and we were not for sure if there would be enough interest to get them sold at this time.  The bears were not ordered, but will keep them in mind to possible have available at the beginning of the sports season next year.
Volleyball Equipment Stand:  In last months meeting it was recommended.....
