Drexel Bobcats shut out Sherwood

Next time Sherwood may want to bring their men and not send their boys to play a man’s game as they were thumped by the Bobcats 18- zip in the home opener game last Wednesday.
Alec Young and Blake Seba each pitched 3 shut out innings with some good fielding help from the rest of the Bobcats. They both had good control for this early in the season giving up only 7 walks, striking out 5 each and only allowing 2 hits in the six inning game.
Ashton Raffety, Blake Seba (a single and a double), Austin Allen, Dayton Antley and Will Roberts all had 2 hits.
Alec Young came through with a double, a single and an over the fence home run.
Keifer Shipley 2 doubles and a home run.
Jared Jacobs a double and Dalton Jurgeson joined the hit parade with a single.
Garrett McLellan also played and took one for the team as he was hit by a pitch.
On Monday, April 5th, the Bobcats took on the Miami Eagles at their plate.
Drexel scored two runs in the first inning and added two more in the 3rd but the Eagles kept chipping away at the lead and after 4 innings the Bobcat lead had been cut to one at 4 to 3.
