Bobcats lose outstanding freshman but record a win

Just as we came to the part of the season where wins are more possible, one of our better players and leading scorers goes down in practice with torn ligaments resulting from a turned ankle. Blake Seba will miss a few games.
Shooting a season low 28% from the field and only 30% from the line, the Bobcats go down to defeat at the hands of the Sheldon Panthers by a score of 48-63 last Tuesday evening on their home court.
With 25 offensive and 25 defensive rebounds by the Bobcats, it shows that both teams were not shooting well and Drexel came up on the short end. Turnovers, at 32, was a big part of the loss. I’m sure this fact will be addressed in practice by Coach Bolton and Coach Lane and the next game will show improvement in this area.
Leaders were Roberts with 11 points, 4 steals and 20 rebounds; Thomas with 11 points, 4 assists, 5 steals and 4 rebounds; Moles ended with 9 points, 2 assists, 2 steals and 10 rebounds; Shipley 8 points, 3 steals and 8 rebounds. Hadley and Antley rounded out the scoring. Points per quarter, Drexel 8-12, 12-16, and Sheldon 12-12, and 19-20.
Coach Bolton had a little more to say about this game, “This is one of those games you hope the kids forget about as soon as it is over. They were doing the right things but were unable to finish. We were able to get 25 offensive rebounds, which is good, but when you are getting that many rebounds that also means you are not making many shots. The poor shooting percentage from the line and the field coupled with the 32 turnovers led to the very disappointing loss.”
