Bobcats host two, lose one

The local baseball team started off on the right foot last Tuesday when they hosted the Osceola Indians. However, their 3-0 lead well into the 3rd inning was cut short when the Indians put four up and continued to dominate to the finish. The Drexel boys couldn’t protect the plate and fell to the travelers, 14-8.
“Costly errors and lack of hitting with runners in scoring position once again cost us the game, dropping our record to 4-3,” comments Coach Bolton. “We made some plays and I can tell we are getting better, we just need to be more consistent. The boys are doing a good job of working to improve each day.”
Blake Seba led the pitching team with 6 strikeouts during his 3 1/3 innings on the mound. W. Roberts and A. young each plugged a single strikeout.

Two days later, the Bobcats again played host, this time to Hume, with a different outcome, closing the week of play with a positive note.
