Bobcats give Heartland Mustangs a “whoopin”

The fog didn’t seem to bother the boys either as they took it to the Mustangs in Belton. Seba got 2 on a fast break and then a three pointer. Cooley a steal and coast to coast for 2 while Hadley hits a three. Bolton made 2 of 2 from the line and Drexel led 12-4 after 3 minutes and 44 seconds. Hadley to Seba for 2, Moles with a steal and then shoots 2 from the line making 1 and the Bobcats lead 18-14 after one.
The second quarter scoring begins with Wilson making one of 2 frees and Russell with a 2 pointer. Seba drives base line for 2 and J. Roberts makes base line move for 2 more and scores 6 consecutive Bobcat points. Seba gets a defensive rebound and makes a long pass to Hadley for a fast break basket. Cooley gets a nice assist with a slick pass to J. Roberts and the score is 35-16 with 1:38 left in the half. Cooley makes a steal for 2 and later a pass to Allen for 2 on the fast break. Moles makes a steal and starts the fast break. The lay up is missed but Shipley was there to rebound and put back. The half ends with the Cats leading 41-16.
A couple of steals by Cooley and J. Roberts, a held ball by Moles and nice team rebounding leads to a 45-18 score with 4:18 left in the 3rd. After 4 points from J. Roberts and 2 each from Shipley and Allen and Cooley with a free throw, the 3rd quarter ends 54-29.
