Bobcats entertain Lockwood at home for Homecoming

By RICHARD HETTINGER The Cats came out full of enthusiasm with Raffety carrying the ‘Big Hit’ stick and our senior captains winning the toss, but choosing to defend. Shipley, our usually dependable kicker, miscued a little and the ball went out of bounds giving Lockwood the ball on their 35. After some good defensive plays against the run, Lockwood went to a 3rd and 19. But again the pass was a Bobcat nemesis as the Tigers completed two pass plays down to the Bobcat 15. On the next play Drexel recovered a fumbled lateral taking over on their own 22. Seba made a nice fake to Shipley and the good play of the line allowed Hadley to take the ball out to the 47.
QB keeper picked up another 12. The drive continued but Lockwood held Drexel on 3 downs bringing a 4th and 5 situation. Instead of passing, Seba faked into the line and made a good pass to Allen down the sideline for a nice 25 yard touchdown. Everything looked great as Shipley added the extra point and Drexel led early, 7-0. Drexel attempted a squib kick but the Tigers covered it on their 46. Lockwood, on pass plays...
