Batter up! Drexel team plays first game

On April 1st I traveled to Sherwood to watch the Bobcats take on the Marksmen, all the while wondering if there would be a game or was this an April Fools joke! The reasoning for this was that every game had been canceled on the schedule up to this date. But sure enough when we arrived, the Bobcats and Marksmen were there, preparing to brave the cold weather and wet grounds.
Because of various circumstances, the Bobcats were able to field only 9 players, luckily having enough to play the game.
Being visitors, the Bobcats were up to bat first. They started strong with two hits, a force out and a Marksman error. This loaded the bases with 1 out but unfortunately no score.
With Alec Young on the mound, Sherwood scored one run in the bottom of the first. Alec and the team settled down and began to get timely outs through 5 innings.
In the bottom of the 2nd Drexel had an eventful inning scoring 4 unearned runs. Raffety singled, Beck was out, Sherwood recorded a force out, McLellan received a base on balls, Seba popped up while two Marksmen watched the ball drop between them. If they had...
