It didn’t take long to see that the ladies from Drexel did not let the larger school factor intimidate them. The Lady Cats outscored the Lady Bears in every quarter coming away with a nice 55-44 win.
The team shot 39% from the field and 54% from the line. They also recorded 14 assists, 38 rebounds, 8 steals and one blocked shot. The turnovers were respectable with only 18.
Individual accomplishments were as follows: Russell had a very good night with 23 points, 6 assists, 4 steals and 9 rebounds; Kendrick contributed 12 points, 2 assists, 2 steals and 10 rebounds (a double double); McAnany had 6 points, 1 assist and 13 rebounds while Hocker netted 6 points, 1 steal and 11 rebounds. Gunnels, Freeman, Moles, and Shipley also scored.
