The Drexel Bobcats had their first game of the season November 25th as they hosted the Lone Jack Mules. The Varsity boys hit the floor running and never let the Mules lead them as they came up with a 67-37 final score.
The Junior Varsity boys team attacked the Mules and came out on top with a big 65-23 win. With the entire junior varsity team made up entirely of sophomores and freshmen, they are young and have a lot to prove. This team is going to have a very exciting season. They will need community support throughout the season, so put them on your schedule.
Drexel ran into a buzz saw in the second round of the playoffs as Midway jumped out to a 27-0 halftime lead en route to a 41-0 victory, ending the Bobcats’ season at 8-3.
The Bobcats could only manage to amass 90 yards rushing in 32 attempts against a tough Viking defense. Drexel’s defense worked hard and racked up plenty of tackles, however, it just wasn’t enough to hold off Midway’s ball carriers.
Right: Brandon Thomas holds off Midway as Javyn Johnston passes the ball to Hunter Lindsey.
