DCBC plans for 2nd Annual Halloween Fun and Safety Night
Leaves have finally ripened into shades of burnt umber and brilliant yellows, and soon, very soon they will be filling the whistling winds as fly-aways. Squirrels are hoarding walnuts, cooler nights have blanketed the area, harvest moons, and no other plant says “fall” like chrysanthemum flowers. They are blooming everywhere. Pumpkins are propped on porches, and children are eagerly awaiting the night they shout, “Trick-or-treat!” It is almost Halloween, my pretties!
