Area schools begin the 2010-2011 session this week and there are, for some, changes in scheduling or milk and meal prices. This year, there are nearly thirty new teachers and staff members among the six northern Bates and southern Cass County schools.
This year, Adrian R-3 begins the new school session on Thursday, August 19, with no changes to the scheduling or with the meal and milk prices. There are five new teachers and a position change for a current....

Council tables discussion on water rates; fails to approve church group meets at Community Center
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Drexel, Missouri met in Regular Session on Monday, August 9th. Mayor Reece called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at City Hall. Citizens present were Boyd Smith, Janice South, and Jennifer Thomas. Presenters present were Chad Harrington of the Larkin Group, Muddy Waters of HD Supply, and Cary McDougal of Baron & Budd. City Staff present were Water Technician Russ Ream, Police Chief Jon Carpenter, and City Clerk Kara Smith. Mayor Kenneth Reece, Alderman Terry Mayfield, Alderman Doug Musick and Alderman Bob Thomas were in attendance.

Getting to know the newest administrators of Drexel R-IV

Drexel R-IV School District is proud to introduce two new administrators to their already outstanding staff.
Bill Johnston has been named the new Superintendent of Schools.
He and his wife Carolyn have five children; Linzy, 18, Livia, 17, Tucker, 15, Jayvn, 14, and Braylen, 11. Carolyn is a guidance counselor at the Harrisonville High School.
