Third consecutive Archie tournament championship for Drexel Bobcats

The Drexel Bobcats participated in the 84th Annual Archie Tournament last week. The first game of the tourney for the Cats was a match up with the Adrian Blackhawks on January 28th. The Cats walked away with a huge 64-33 victory. “This was a good way to start the tournament. We were able to get production from everyone”, said Head Coach Dennis Bolton.

Lady Bobcats take 3rd in Archie Tournament

The Drexel Lady Cats played Midway on January 28th in our first game of the Archie Tournament. They ended the night with a 48-37 victory.

The girls went back to Archie to face Adrian on January 30th. This was a hard fought game from the start. The Lady Bobcats were disappointed in the 37-41 final score of the game.

The Lady Cats were scheduled to face off against the Butler Lady Bears for 3rd place in the tournament; however, Butler had to forfeit. As a result, the Drexel Lady Bobcats received 3rd place in the 84th Annual Archie Tournament.

2014 Courtwarming King & Queen - Chandler Eastwood & Adison Barnhart

Sophomore Chandler Eastwood and Senior Adison Barnhart were crowned Courtwarming King and Queen at the game against Miami on Friday, February 7, 2014.

Eastwood named Citizens Bank President in Drexel

Citizens Bank is pleased to introduce Tim Eastwood as the new President of the branch in Drexel. Citizens Bank President Tyler Green stated “When we began the search for someone to lead our Drexel location, we focused on four important traits; the person had to be hardworking, dependable, trustworthy, and had to be an advocate for the Drexel community.” President Green stated that Tim fits all these traits and shows all the other qualities necessary to be successful in the banking industry.

Drexel Firefighters complete a combined total of 72 hours of training

Six members of the Drexel Volunteer Fire Department attended the 2014 Winter Fire School at the University of Columbia February 7 - 9. With a combined total of 72 hours of training earned, a wide-variety of classes were taken.
